You Can Put It On The Board! YES!

But today was ridiculous! The game was ours! Up 5-2 in the 9th and Shingo just couldn't finish it. He gave up 3 solo homeruns to send the game to extra innings. I think Ozzie did a terrible job with the bullpen. He used Cotts, Politte, and Marte all for 1/3 of an inning. Then he brought in Hermanson for the 8th. He looked great. I know Shingo is the closer, but if you bring him in that only leaves Vizcaino left in the pen. You have to look ahead. You want to be positive but you have to think of the situation if Shingo blows it and it goes to extra innings. You only have one guy left. I know it’s easy for me to say this seeing what happened. So Shingo blew it and Ozzie brought in Vizcaino. He was in there way too long. We had the back up catcher Chris Widger warming up just in case. Jon Garland, who it pitching on Saturday, was also in the bullpen but he didn't throw at all. I just think Ozzie needs to do a better job with the pen in a situation like that. Hermanson should have been kept in the ball game to finish the job. He saved 17 games last year for the Giants so he has experience in the closer role. Yes Shingo is our guy, but I don't think he should have been brought in for that situation today.
