Garcia and Sox Spoil Another Home Opener

The White Sox are now three for three in home openers this year. They won their own against the Indians, then they beat the Twins and Indians at their own openers. Freddy Garcia was awesome on Monday afternoon. He went eight innings giving up one run, four hits, and striking out four. Kevin Millwood was great as well but he wasn't good enough as he gave up two runs and the Sox won 2-1.

Pablo Ozuna Sighting
Ozuna was at shortstop for Monday's game as Ozzie gave Uribe the day off. Pablo has now played in left field and shortstop. He is going to be very valuable utility man for this team.

Player of the Game

Freddy Garcia
8 IP, 1 R, 4 H, 4 K, W(1-0)

Podsednik Injured
After stealing a base in the sixth inning, Scott Podsednik strained his right groin. He was replaced by Timo Perez in the seventh. Podsednik said he is not worried about the injury but lets see if he is an action tonight. He is one guy that we need to be in the lineup healthy everyday. He speed is too valuable.

Wednesday's Starters

Jose Contreras

Cliff Lee
