Great Start In Minny
The dome was packed, the fans were pumped, and visions of repeating were everywhere as the Twins took the field Friday night in Minnesota. But the Sox had other plans. Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez was solid during his seven innings of work dominating the Twins' bats. In his seven innings, he gave up one run, on six hits, striking out five. He looked great. Dustin Hermanson pitched the final two innings, striking out three, to close the deal for the Sox. Paul Konerko and Aaron Rowand each hit a home run in the sixth inning to put the Sox ahead for good. What a great game and a great way to start the season off against the Twins!
