Timely Hits Continue Sox Winning StreakJermaine Dye's solo shot in the seventh tied the game and A.J. Pierzynski's two run single in the eighth gave the Sox the lead as the Sox won 5-3 and have now won six straight. Good pitching and timely hitting continues to be the key for success for this White Sox team. El Duque pitched seven solid innings giving up 3 runs in the second inning but kept the team in it the rest of the way. I like how Ozzie keeps his starters in the game to give them a chance to get the win. I didn't think he was going to send El Duque back out there in the seventh with the score tied at 3. But he did and the next inning the Sox scored two runs and Orlando earned his fourth win of the year.
Konerko Comes ThroughPaul Konerko snapped an 0 for 26 streak on Friday night. He singled in the eighth to continue the rally which led to a bases loaded single by Pierzynski which scored Everett and Konerko.
Continues to ImpressTadahito Iguchi keeps impressing me every time he steps onto the field. He is hitting the ball great as he leads the team with a .340 average. He is also playing a great second base. He shows great range to both sides and has a very good arm. His speed has also been very valuable to us as he stole his fifth stolen base last night. What a great pick up by Kenny Williams for this team!
